Another busy weekend for Elizabeth and I!  I don't know what's gotten into me...  I was so exhausted this morning that I missed an important meeting because I wouldn't get out of bed.

On Friday, we headed down to the Andy Warhol Museum on Pittsburgh's north side.  Warhol was from Pittsburgh, and so of course his museum is here, along with a bridge named after him.  I like the 'tame' stuff that he did, i.e. all the artwork Warhol became famous for (flowers, cows, soup cans, famous people).  But some of the other, more obscure things that he did, especially his films, were not exactly my taste.  He was a very strange man, that Andy Warhol...  It did spark a good conversation with my roommate, though!

After visiting the museum, we wandered around downtown trying to find some place to eat, and we ended up here:

Shhhh!!!  Don't tell anyone!  As a non-Steelers fan, I should not have allowed my presence to grace the doorstep of this restaurant...  But by the time we reached it I was so ready for a drink that we went in anyway.  (For you non-football fans out there, Jerome Bettis is a retired Steelers player.)  At any rate, the food was good!  Naturally, the drink menu was extensive (that's how restaurants make their money), and all of the cocktails and margaritas were named after football terms or Pittsburgh monuments.  As befitting the day's activities, I ordered a drink called The Warhol to go with my burger.  Our waiter was ridiculously over-attentive, but I suppose that's what you have to do to get a good tip these days!  The best part of the whole experience, though, came when he brought our check.  That little green-colored cocktail cost more than my meal!    I suppose that's why they don't put drink prices on the menu...  Oh well!  I'll consider that a lesson learned.
